Who is ready for an ”EFFING GOOD TIME” this summer?!!  Here is my once a year, bother you with a long informational text about the upcoming fishing season.  This last winter was one for the books.. incredible skiing and tons of snow.. I skied so much and had such a good time the locals crowned me the Dirt Bag King, it is an honor.

Now to the fishing scoop. All of our major drainages are at least sitting at 100% of average for snow pack and water equivalence so that is terrific news. I am expecting a very good fishing season likely to start around the beginning of June for the Madison and Gallatin and around the end of June for the Yellowstone. There will also be opportunities for May as well if the run off gives us a few breaks. The Lower Madison and the Yellowstone can offer some spectacular fishing with the Mother’s Day Caddis hatch. If we plan enough we could even explore trips on the Missouri as early as the beginning of May. There will also be some fantastic May and Early June wading opportunities during the higher water.
